ArenaNet Website Redesign

One of my favorite projects presented to me while at ArenaNet was the redesign of our game studio's website. Successfully launching in fall of 2018, I was tasked to lead the creative concept direction, execution and production. Our small talented team consisted of myself as our primary creative, a web product owner, producer, developer, and marketing mangers. Our new, innovative, modern website delighted our fans as within minutes of launching they created a Reddit thread to rave about the new design.

ABOUT ME

After 10 years in the creative agency world I decided to mix things up and give the gaming industry a try in hopes of finding new creative challenges that would test my design skills and help me grow into a stronger, more well-rounded designer and art director. ArenaNet and Wizards of the Coasts has finely tuned my design aesthetic while helping me grow as a strategic creative marketer in the gaming industry. Providing me with an additional arsenal of tools to help me make smarter design decisions. 

Over the last 4 1/2 years I helped lead ArenaNet’s marketing design efforts to elevate and modernize their product brands to increase their presence in the AAA game space. This included a vast variety of both retail print and web marketing materials. Distributing world-wide, I have become accustomed to designing for localization in four languages as well as adhering to rating standards for ESRB, PEGI, and USK. To maintain brand consistency across all marketing outlets, I was responsible for setting the overall tone for our products to ensure they meet studio and industry expectations as well as creating visual assets and providing art direction to our numerous vendors and partners. While driving art collaboration between various internal teams such as, concept art, cinematics, game directors, marketing managers, and web development to deliver a cohesive brand that can be seen in and out
of game. 

Currently I lead the development, planning, process, creative testing and execution for Wizards of the Coast Digital Marketing User Acquisition campaigns. I collaborate with brand managers, game directors , UA managers and data analyst to try and find new ways to help elevate our digital performance marketing media by utilizing creative A/B testing and analysis.
